Entering Into “The Secret Place” of Prayer Matthew 6:1-15 A.Greatest Sermon – ever given is the Sermon on the Mount “The Secret Place” is mentioned - 2 times in this passage of scripture. What is The Secret Place… and does it apply to us… and can we experience it?

The Secret Place of Prayer B.Jesus used this phrase 2 times here : 1.…when you give – giving of alms it needs to be done in secret 2.…when you pray – Prayer that builds you up needs to be done in secret; then your public prayer will be more powerful. 3. Prayer in its simplest form just is talking to God in faith …and is needed in every Believer’s life –Ps. 55:17

The Secret Place of Prayer C.The Secret Place - is pointing to the Inner Holy Of Holies of the Tabernacle and the place of the Mercy Seat and God’s manifest presence. The Secret Place - also known as the Hiding Place or under the Shadow of His Wings – in Psalm 17:8; Psalm 27:5; Psalm 31:20; Psalm 32:7; Psalm 57:1; Luke 1:35

The Secret Place of Prayer It is in The Secret Place…  That you meet with God … His Presence  It is where you will hear the Holy Spirit speak to you…and you are empowered.  It is a wonderful place where heaven touches earth and you glimpses of the Glory.  It is a place where you receive divine direction from heaven and you can effect changes around the world.

The Secret Place of Prayer D.Prayer - Different kinds Lord’s Prayer is meant to take you into The Secret Place, if you use it as God intends it to be used. The Lord’s Prayer – Matt 6: as an outline of prayer to enter the Secret Place.
