Ahora es tu turno (now it’s your turn)  On a piece of paper, answer the following question: “Why do you think that we need to learn Spanish.”  Then, write the one question that you have for me. Be sure to write legibly  Then, we are going to go around, to ask the question. State your name, grade and then your question.

Preguntas  Does it feel weird to speak a language that is not yours?  Are we doing the full Spanish or the basics?  Did you think that English was easy to learn?  How many people are in your family?  How many years have you taught Spanish?

 Why did you decide to teach Spanish?  How long did it take you to learn other languages?  Do you like the US?  Do you have any pets?  Have you been in another country?

 Is there a language that you have wanted to learn, but haven’t?  Is it nice to know more than one language?  Was Spanish a common language in Iraq?  Do you speak Arabic or Spanish more?  Does anyone in your family speak other languages?

 How long have you been teaching?  Why did you move to the US?  Have you ever been to Babylon?  Have you ever thought of being anything but a teacher?  Do you have any kids?

 Do you sometimes miss Iraq?  Which subject you like better Spanish or Math?  Are there any unique customs in Iraq that you wouldn’t find here?
