ALLEND ALE ROBOTI CS

 Do you know where your employees of the future are coming from?  Do you want to market your company to the best and brightest talent in the area? This is the opportunity to make a difference in your community.

 Sponsoring a FIRST team means:  opportunities to everybody.  you are sponsoring the future (both yours and theirs) FIRST offers programs that expose students of ALL age levels to the STEM fields.

 Cooperation and teamwork are promoted throughout FIRST;  It’s not always about winning; The lessons the students learn through this program are far more valuable than any trophy or award.

A in 2005 study by Brandeis University found that, compared to their matched peers, FIRST Alumni are:  50% more likely to attend college  3x more likely to major in Engineering  4x more likely to pursue a career in Engineering  2.5x more likely to volunteer in the community  Female F.I.R.S.T. Alumni are 4x more likely to pursue Technology and Engineering majors.  Minority F.I.R.S.T. Alumni are 2x more likely to pursue Technology and Engineering majors.

 FIRST started over 20 years ago with the generous support of our FIRST Founding Sponsors.  FIRST has continued to grow and thrive through the significant contributions of our FIRST Strategic Partners.  A generous and extensive network of Fortune 500 corporations, educational and professional institutions, foundations, and individuals constantly support FIRST.

 These organizations and individuals provide significant funding, mentorship time and talent.  This ensures that FIRST participants receive the best experience possible.  Sponsors are helping FIRST inspire young people to become the next generation (STEM) professionals.

 We have all heard of the lack of trained employees who are ready to enter the workplace.  Currently there is a lack of students pursuing studies in the STEM fields;  Your sponsorship can help expose students to these exciting careers.

 Team 4003 and 7023 are FIRST teams.  Team 4003 was founded in 2012, in Allendale MI.  Allendale Robotics also invites students from Coopersville and Jenison high schools.  Allendale Robotics has a FTC program and mentors FLL & Jr. FLL programs.

 In the few brief years Allendale Robotics has grown dramatically.  Dedicated young men and women contribute to the teams success.  Students attend after school, showing a passion for what they do.

 Jr. FIRST Lego League (Jr. FLL) team  Students are given a challenge that is currently being addressed by scientists.  Students complete in-depth research regarding the challenge.  Students design and create a working LEGO® model that solves the challenge.

 FIRST Lego League teams are introduced to engineering challenges.  Students build LEGO® based robots to complete tasks on a playing surface.  Students apply real-world math and science concepts.  Students research, learn critical thinking, team-building and presentation skills.

 FIRST Tech Challenge:  Students compete in competitions similar to those offered through the high school program.  The main difference from the FRC program is reusable kits are used from year to year.

What is FRC ?  The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an annual robotics program.  In January of each year, all teams receive a challenge that must be completed by building a working robot.

 Limited time for the program.  Incorporates design, programming, build, electrical.  Solves challenging problems with limited resources, materials, time and funds’  Simulates real life scenarios that all businesses, organizations and countries face every day.

 Sponsorship provides Allendale Robotics the opportunity to inspire students in your community.  Annual program costs for the teams can reach up to sixty thousand dollars.  Sponsorships can be in gifts of money, materials, resources and time.

 Please consider making an investment in the future of your community.  In conclusion, we would like to thank you for your time and consideration in supporting this student program.
