Exercise Prescription in South Lanarkshire Lauren Logan Health Development Officer

Main Aim: To provide facilities for recreation, sport and cultural pursuits which are of maximum benefit to the community To bring real benefits for the community and individuals. We know that participation in physical activity can make a significant contribution to our life. To ensure everyone has the opportunity to be active. We provide a range of programmes and initiatives which aim to provide opportunities to improve the health and wellbeing of the community of South Lanarkshire.

Health in South Lanarkshire Population = 310,000 Slightly below the Scottish average in terms of health outcomes High prevalence of adult and child obesity, inactivity, CHD, HBP, some cancers…
