Generalising Mindfulness in Everyday Living Using all of your senses Dwelling in the body rather than the mind Bringing full awareness to present moment experience Three step breathing space

Keeping a Healthy Mind Stress, anxiety and low mood are very common. Problems like this can be triggered by lack of sleep, pressure at work, money worries and life events that can affect any of us at any time. We all need to have useful tools and techniques to help keep a healthy mind.

Keeping a Healthy Mind Ensure we undertake something enjoyable and something that gives us a sense of achievement on a daily basis; Re-engaging with activities that we enjoy; Having a structure to our life/day; Setting achievable and realistic tasks; Having self-compassion; Try not to compare ourselves with others; Use relaxation techniques;

Keeping a Healthy Mind Learn a new skill; Mindfulness approach to life; Making time for ourselves; Having something to look forward to; Knowing what helps when we feel anxious, stressed or low in mood; Being aware of who can be around for you; Being mindful of our levels of exercise, diet and sleep; Talking to someone; Knowing you are not on your own.

What do patients think of our service? Our most recent review of patient feedback over the last 12 months: A high level of satisfaction with the service – the majority of patients state that they ‘Cannot Fault Service’ and that there is nothing that they would have improved. Over 90% were “very satisfied” with the overall experience of the service. Over 85% of patients were “very satisfied” with the therapist they were treated by.

What do patients think of our service? Some of the comments received highlighted areas that needed improvement or changes that would enhance the experience. We have acted on these: Introduced self-referral; Updated website; Provided improved access to further information; A wider choice of therapies introduced.

Out of the dark Out of the dark and into the light No longer a storm cloud I’m having to fight The walls that I have built will slowly come down And I will be able to laugh again with no need to frown. I will not pretend that Rome was built in a day But with these tools that I’ve learnt, I will be ok. There will be good days and bad days but I will be ready to fight Whether it’s the morning, noon or even the night So just to conclude, I will say this from my heart This is definitely not the end but only the start. I will acknowledge my feelings then I will be free Because what I have learnt from this journey is the most important thing to me.
