The students are to take home their student planners (assignment books) every night. The homework will also be posted on the class web site. Every student will be assigned a class number. All papers that are handed in should have this number in the upper right hand corner. All work must be neat and legible and have the students name on it.

Students are responsible for making up any missed work during an absence within a reasonable time frame. Missing work will affect the subject grade. All written work should be done in script or cursive writing. Please make sure your child has pens and/or sharpened pencils.

Please make sure your child's name is on all of their belongings. Children should come to school prepared with work and supplies. If your child usually rides the bus, please send in a note if there is any change. Please read the school calendar for the uniform requirements and other school rules.

Demerits will be given in 4th Grade. If your child accumulates 3 demerits they will have detention. If you need to meet with me, please send in a note so that we can set up a time that is convenient for both of us. If your child is absent, please remember to send in an absence note when your child returns to school.

There will be at least 2 (probably more) tests and about 5 quizzes in each subject during a semester. The tests will account for about a third of the semester grade. I will give advanced notice for all tests. I do not always give notice for quizzes. All tests and quizzes should be written in pen. All grades will be posted as soon as possible on the Power School web site. Please check the site frequently. Interim reports will not be sent home.
