Cheetah Team Expectations Homework will be posted in the room and the student must write it in his/her agenda every day. Please check your child’s agenda daily. We fill them out together in class each day. We expect all students to come to class prepared and ready to learn every day. This means coming to school with a positive attitude, ready to turn in completed assignments, always having an agenda, neatly organized binder, sharpened pencils, pens, etc. Please make sure that throughout the year you help your student replenish supplies as they deplete.

Language Arts Textbooks Curriculum Collections Online version: My.hrw.com (all students have log-in info in their agendas) Focus on Writing Non-fiction reading and analysis “Close Reading” Collaborative Discussions (Performance Tasks)

Math Textbook Carnegie Learning textbook and workbook to be left in classroom Assignments Daily Common Core lessons: Collaboration, independent think time, whole group share-out, exploration of topic/skill, direct instruction MATHia Carnegie Math software to augment textbook and practice skills. Worked on twice weekly at student’s own pace. MATHia will not be used unless students have completed all homework for the week.

Reminders Aeries.net/Parent Portal- Please sign up to access student grades online. Labs open in library for assistance. Report Cards- Report cards are sent home at the end of each quarter. (See back of agenda for dates.) Current grades are always available to view online with Parent Portal. Parent meetings- There are no scheduled conference days in middle school. We are available to schedule meetings in the morning before school. Contact us!- The best way to contact us is through . Due to the size of our team and weekly scheduled meetings, we are unable to meet with parents on a drop-in basis.
