Issachar Coaching Cluster Practicing Sacred Pathways Year 1 Session 5

What has brought you the greatest joy in the last 30 days? or What is your favorite Dessert? Prayer remembering our Evangelism Prayer Lists!

A primary objective of the WPA District is to produce growing Healthy Christ- like Servant Leaders at every level in the Bride of Christ.

Growing Spirit-filled Christ-like Servant Leader(ship) Core Competencies Model

Abiding In Jesus Christ Competencies: 1) Growing in Intimacy with Christ 2) Crucifying Self 3) Claiming God’s Armor 4) Exercising Spiritual Disciplines 5) Practicing Sacred Pathways

A sacred pathway is a means by which God draws a believer into a closer sense of spiritual intimacy and relationship.

Remember one or two times in your life when you sensed the presence of God. Where were you and What were you doing?

Activist- senses God’s presence when doing His will at a thousand miles an hour Service- senses God’s presence when humbly serving others Intellectual- senses God’s presence when in deep theological &/or philosophical thought

Nature- senses God’s presence when experiencing God’s creation Contemplative- senses God’s presence by spending extended time in deep thought wrestling with the deep issues facing society (typically in solitude).

Relational- senses God’s presence by seeking God synergistically with a few close friends of like faith. Solitude is typically very difficult for these individuals Worship- senses God’s presence by worshiping the Lord in Spirit and in truth

Fundamental Principles: Sacred Pathways are Not a replacement for daily devotions! No Spiritual Pathway Envy! (Many people desire other people’s Spiritual Pathways, “Greener Grass Syndrome”)

In the past, which Spiritual Pathways, has God used in drawing you to Himself? Hint: Consider the last time you sensed the inexpressible joy of the Lord. What was the setting?
