New for 2015 Information Governance SLA Access advice and assistance in relation to Information Governance issues including compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998, Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and Pupil Information Regulations Assistance in drafting responses in relation to requests for information under the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998, Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and Pupil Information Regulations An annual data protection audit to evaluate the schools compliance with the Data Protection Act Model Information Governance and Data Security Policy (which are statutory for schools). Access to the Council’s online Development Zone which hosts three short training courses on protecting information. Information Governance briefing materials on identifying risks to personal information and measures available to mitigate these risks. Schools can also purchase services at an hourly or daily rate on a 'pay as you go' basis

SLAs that will not be available to purchase from April 15 Education Consultancy Service SLA However schools will be able to purchase school improvement consultancy support on a 'pay as you go' basis.

Changes to existing SLAs Facilities Management – SLA now includes one free place per term at School Catering Network meetings Insurance Services - For schools in the process of converting to Academy, insurance cover can no longer be purchased in 1 monthly blocks. They must be purchased in 3 monthly blocks (e.g. 1/4/2015 to 30/6/2015, 1/7/2015 to 30/9/2015, 1/10/2015 to 31/12/2015 and 1/1/2016 to 31/3/2016)

Changes to existing SLAs School Swimming Lessons Swimming Lessons to be offered in the new Blackburn Sport and Leisure Centre following its opening in late spring 2015 Increase in the number of weeks swimming from 33 weeks in 2014/2015 to 36 weeks for 2015/2016 due to the movement of the Easter Holidays
