FAMOUS PEOPLE Sundiata Kieta is considered the founder of the Malian Empire and was known as the “Lion King” Mansa Musa is probably the Malian Empire’s most famous emperor Timbuktu wasn’t a famous person but was one of the Empire’s most famous and important cities

CULTURE Mansa Musa the most famous emperor of Mali introduced his citizens to the religion of Islam and even inserted the laws of the Koran into his justice system Mansa Musa established Islamic Universities in his empire

CONTRIBUTIONS The Malian Empire is considered the first empire, country, nation, etc. to have established a constitutional monarchy Introduced the growing and weaving of cotton in the empire
