The Prophets were led to write god’s word, by the power of his Spirit. (The Holy Ghost) They did not give their own private interpretation of God’s word. 2Pet. 1: Tim. 2:16 Hebrews 1:1-2

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. JN. 1:1 WHO OR WHAT IS THE WORD?

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Jn. 1:14

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Jn. 1:3, Col. 1:16-17, Heb. 1:2 The Lord Jesus is the Creator, and He existed with God, before there was anything!

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Jn. 1:4 This means he Is the source of all: __ __ __ __ physical and spiritual.

By spiritual life, we mean that he is the one that can give you a spiritual relationship with God. 1Timothy 2:5

The light shines in darkness and the darkness cannot over come it. Jn. 1:5 The entrance of __ __ __ Brought darkness To the world and to our hearts. Rom. 3:23, 5:12

Sin causes shame and fear.

We got this sin nature from our parents and your parents got it from their grandparents etc.; all the way back to Adam and Eve. Ever notice that we are always trying to teach kids to do what is right? We automatically do what is wrong because of that nature within us. It controls us. Only Jesus can break the power of sin in our lives and give forgiveness.

As we get older this nature shows itself in a variety of ways. Because it controls us, we are not free, it’s almost like being in prison, no peace.

Satan wants you to doubt God’s word, he causes confusion.

IN WHAT WAYS DOES HE SEEK TO DO THIS? Look up: John 10:10, 2Corinthians 4:4, and 1John 2:16.

HERE’S GOOD NEWS! He can deliver from the power of sin!

God is light! 1John 1:5, John 8:12 Light gives: D_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Psalm 119:105

Light keeps us safe! STOP!

Light also shows us how dirty things really are. Jn. 1:9

DOES YOUR DIRT GET COVERED UP? OR ARE YOU INTERESTED IN HAVING IT WASHED AWAY?

There was a man sent from God, his name was John. He was not the light, but he came to tell others about the light, so that they might: ??? (John 1:6-8)

He was in the world and the world was made by him, but the world knew him not. John 1:10 What does this mean?

He came to his own, but his own would not receive him. John 1:11. Why? Is the world any different today? Look up: John 3:19-20.

But to as many as received him, he gave them power to become the sons of God… John 1:12 How? Look at the last Part of the verse.

For those who put their trust in his name! Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 5:1
