WHY TAKE AN EDUCATIONAL TOUR?

USA: CAN: DAY 1  Depart from your airport to La Belle Province.  Your Prométour director will greet you at the airport in Montreal and remain with you for the duration of your trip.  Board your private motor coach and head to Quebec City, listed by UNESCO as a World Patrimonial Treasure.  Upon arrival in Québec City, follow your local guide and share the secrets of Old Québec on a guided walking tour. Journey through St-Louis Street, admire the old town's fortifications and see the wall of Québec History.  Later, meet your French-speaking host families. Go ‘home’ for the evening and get to know your hosts over dinner. ITINERARY

USA: CAN:  This morning after breakfast, visit a local school where you will have the opportunity to meet local students (subject to availability).  Have lunch with your French Canadian friends.  This afternoon, visit the Musée de la Civilisation. With over 10 exhibits at all times including a permanent exhibit of Québec, it is one of Canada's most impressive museums.  Later be introduced to the language, culture and history of Quebec, while giving an interactive experience. See “Voix française, American Heart”, a skit by Les Production Épisodes.  Then it’s time to head back to your host families for dinner and a good night’s sleep. ITINERARY DAY 2

USA: CAN: ITINERARY DAY 3  This morning, go to the Musée National des Beaux- Arts du Québec, housing approximately 25,000 works essentially produced in Quebec, or by Quebec artists, some of which dating back to the 18th century.  After some free time for lunch, partake in the “Let’s Go to the Circus Workshop”. Accompanied by qualified trainers, try out the tools used by professionals of the trade to discover the trampoline, juggling, uni-cycling, tightrope walking, the aerial disciplines, and many others  Finally, take a ferry on the majestic St. Lawrence River to enjoy a sailor's view of the Plains of Abraham and Château Frontenac.  Then return to your host families for dinner and overnight accommodation.

USA: CAN: ITINERARY DAY 4  This morning, experience the Maison de la Découverte - An out of the ordinary adventure through the history of Canada using multimedia and live interviews with virtual historical characters.  After lunch, head to the “Onhoüa Chetek8e”, a Huron Indian village where you will discover the ancestral Huron lifestyle. Participate in a traditional music workshop!  Then enjoy some free time for shopping in the enchanting Quartier Petit Champlain, the oldest shopping district in North America!  Dinner and night accommodation with host families in Quebec City.

USA: CAN: ITINERARY DAY 5  Today for breakfast, go to the Manoir Montmorency. Enjoy your breakfast while admiring the view of Ile D'Orléans.  Discover the magnificent Parc de la Chute Montmorency with its falls higher than those of Niagara Falls.  Make a stop at Chez Marie Bakery, learn how bread is made and enjoy a maple butter tasting!  Continue to Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré, visit its superb Basilica.  Return to Quebec City for and overnight accommodation with your host families.

USA: CAN: ITINERARY DAY 6  Today after breakfast with your host family, it’s time to say au revoir.  Before leaving Québec City, test how much you’ve learnt during your stay and go on an architectural and historical rally game through Old Québec, with prizes for the winning team.  Board your motor coach and drive to Montreal for your last two nights in Canada.  En route, stop in Trois-Rivières at a traditional Cabane à sucre (sugar shack). Learn how the maple syrup is extracted from the tree sap. Have an authentic lumberjack meal for lunch and learn some traditional dances and sing along songs.  Upon arrival in Montreal, visit the Biodome showcasing the ecosystems of the Americas, with over 4,500 animals and 500 plant species, all under one roof!  Then check into your hotel before heading to the circus, or rather Cirque du Soleil! (subject to availability). Take in this wondrous spectacle, and enjoy some free time for dinner in the area.  Overnight accommodation in Montreal.

USA: CAN: ITINERARY DAY 7  After breakfast, discover the picturesque charm of Old Montreal in a guided walking tour of Montreal.  Next, visit the remarkable Notre Dame Basilica.  Later, get up close and personal with a host of celebrities and historical figures at Le Musée Grévin, the wax museum containing some 120 characters arranged in scenes from the history of Canada and modern life, as well as movie stars and international figures such as Elizabeth II, Leonardo DiCaprio, Albert Einstein, Lady Gaga, Mahatma Gandhi, and Justin Bieber!  Enjoy a farewell dinner with your group in Montreal, then back to the hotel for overnight accommodation.

USA: CAN: ITINERARY DAY 8  After breakfast, head to Montreal’s highest point, Mount Royal, for a panoramic view of the city from the Belvédère.  Next, enjoy some free time for last-minute shopping in Montreal’s famous Underground City! Subject to flight times

He is fluent(ish) in Spanish and has some basic knowledge of French, which he enjoys trying to practice with his French-speaking colleagues at Prométour.
