Health and Wellbeing Use this Stepping Up Week to improve your understanding of what factors can improve your wellbeing and overall health.

On the 12 th of October, you helped Crossrail complete 8 out of the last 11 weeks without a lost-time injury. What have we done differently? Can we do it again? We all have the right to go home unharmed everyday. We believe that all harm is preventable. But, are we all working together to achieve this?

Canada Square Activities

Monday Go Live Toolbox Talk to highlight the changing risk profile of sites as the move from locally generated power on to grid supplied power. Yomp roll out (immediately after this session) encourages groups to get active for the next month and to compare their progress against other groups and other organisations! – Healthy competition!

Tuesday Inclusive H&S Toolbox Talk – Steve Hails explains the importance of respect and inclusivity on the Crossrail Project and discusses how the research currently being undertaken on Crossrail will impact H&S in the construction industry. Lunch time walk to Mudchutes Farm – Experience the impact that exercise, animals and green space can have on your energy levels. Mental Health Fist Aid – A session on how you can help to understand the benefits of Mental Health First Aid and learn how you might help colleagues dealing with mental health related illness.

Wednesday What do you do when your Folks are Blue? A short session to assist those whose parents or older relatives are developing mental health issues. Anna Hemmings gives a motivational talk sharing her experiences of dealing with pressure and mental fatigue. Radiators and Drains learn what drains your resilience and what strengthens it.

Thursday Mental Health First Aid for Managers – A session to help managers identify when their staff may be showing signs of stress. STEP Class – A 1 hour physical activity session at Nuffield Gym. (Limited Space) Mindfulness Toolbox – A short session to help people focus on the present.

Friday 1:1 Nutrition Advice – Get some pointers on how to make changes to your diet for a healthier lifestyle. Crossrail Place Pilates: Join a Pilates fitness instructor and work out in the Crossrail Place Amphitheatre.
