Link Worker Temporary contract for up to 12 months Salary: £7.50 per hour 16 hours per week over 3 or 4 days Closing date: Friday 22 April 2016 by 4pm (applications received after this date will not be accepted) Interview date: Monday 16 May and Tuesday 17 May (you must be able attend both of these dates) This job is an opportunity to improve services for people in Torbay. The job is a development role to give you the skills and experience to move forward whether you have worked before or not. We are looking at your life and people skills – not qualifications or work history. You will be part of a supportive team who will make sure that people using services are listened to & you grow & develop in the role. The Job: To be a link between members of Torbay Voice (a group of people who use or have used supportive services in Torbay) and Torbay Council and key partners. Main Role: To go out to supportive services and to encourage people to get involved. About You: You will be using a supportive service or have been in the past 2 years, this could include housing support, physical or learning disability, older people, mental health, drug & alcohol, criminal justice, domestic violence or one of the other supportive services.
