43 year old Malay Female OD blurring of vision, no redness, no pain Ocular and General History
BCVA: OS-6/.5 AC: no cells, no flare, Ocular Examination
First Presentation – Fundus OD retinal haemorrhages and exudates and possibly some retinochoroiditis lesion
First Presentation - Investigations FBC – Normal Toxoplasma titres: increased IgM, IgG HIV- negative
Diagnosis Toxoplasmosis induced posterior uveitis based on clinical picture serology
Treatment anti-toxoplasma treatment oral Azithromycin – 500mg stat followed by 250mg OD for 6 weeks oral corticosteroids – 40mg/day for 1week followed by tapering dose for 6 weeks
Follow up –Fundus OD AB C D A: baseline, B: at 2 weeks resolving lesion, C: at 1 month resolving lesions, D: completely resolved with occluded vessels
