Computer Lab (HS308) o o Open when library’s open and When there is a class after hours o o See sign on the window o o This is the Quiet computer area --The small printer G551 in the back is for occasional class use when the library is closed. --If too warm, use fans, do NOT prop door open

Printing o o Login to the computers with SID and Pin o o Choose printer G864-NP-B&W Choose printer G767-NP-Color o o $12.00 Credit/quarter (400 pages in b & w) If needed, buy $3.00 cards at front desk o o Remember to “Log off” the computer!

Avoid Long Wait o o Don’t send multiple jobs at once when it’s busy o o Pick up promptly o o Print early o o Always check your settings before printing!

Library Open Area o o 12 computers (MEDLIB01-12) in the open area o o Quietness (student wish from survey, esp. when testing in 308) o o Firefox works better with Canvas than IE

Wireless and Printing o o Wireless Access and Printing & Student Wireless set-up instructions under “MyCBC”, then “Student Resources” Wireless Access and PrintingStudent Wireless set-up instructions o o Wireless printing o o One wireless printer on 1 st floor (Good for printing from laptops after hours.) Prints Word, PDF, and XPS files. Excel and PowerPoint files can be converted to XPS.

Scanner o o Scanner connected to medlib05 can also connect to medlib06, check the wire o o Ask staff to show you or follow posted instructions

Study Rooms o o Check in at the desk o o Two hour blocks (May reserve up to a week in advance) o o Groups have preference Whiteboard TV and DVD/VHS player Not soundproof No food or drinks HS309 HS310

Videos / DVDs o o Ask at desk for videos/DVDs o o Can use study rooms/computer to watch o o Videos on Reserve can’t be checked out except for group viewings in the classroom o o Other videos may be arranged for short loans
