Recommended actions Actively promote the Guide to human rights for Internet users. Assess, regularly review and, as appropriate, remove restrictions regarding the exercise of rights and freedoms on the Internet, Ensure that Internet users have access to effective remedies Promote co-ordination with other State and non-State actors, Encourage corporate social responsibility, in line with the UN “Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights” Encourage civil society to support the dissemination and application of the Guide

Achieved steps I Guide- launching event, including press coverage. First stage of the Guide website put in place. Guide awareness raising events organised at EuroDIG and IGF. The Guide and its Explanatory Memo available in 8 languages (English, French, Russian, Spanish, German, Italian, Turkish, Arabic). Letters to main online platforms (including Google, Facebook, Twitter) with regard to the Guide release have been sent.

Achieved steps II An agreement with Center for Technology and Society at Fundaçao Getulio Vargas has been reached to assess the conformity of 100 online platforms Term of services’ to the Guide A draft questionnaire for collecting Guide related data in CoE member states has been developed

Overall Objective To strengthen and promote the full enjoyment of Internet users’ fundamental rights.
