ART NOUVEAU By: Jasmine Pacheco

The main Ideas of the movement Art in the 19 th century before art nouveau This style was more…traditional Then came Art Nouveau…

Main Ideas of the Movement TThe artists that started this marvelous movement seeked to put behind them the more traditional styles of the nineteenth century, opting for a more modernized look.

MAIN IDEAS OF THE MOVEMENT They also sought to revive good craftsmanship and create art that fit its purpose

Main influences of Movement Many of the artists in this movement pulled their influence from the styles of the 19 th century, but had a want to make it modernized.

MAIN INFLUENCES OF MOVEMENT THEY ALSO DREW INSPIRATION FROM EVERYDAY OBJECTS.

ART NOUVEAU ACTIVITY!!!!!!! A multimedia approach to comprehending the Art Nouveau style and movement. Using a scratchboard and clippings from magazines, you will attempt to create an artwork that imitates that of Gustav Klimt.

Reflection  I thoroughly enjoyed this project! I found the art nouveau movement fascinating. I especially love the artwork of Gustav Klimt, as I am a huge fan of using geometric designs in your artwork. My favorite work of his is The portrait of Adele Bloch. I find it greatly represents his style as an artist.  Art Nouveau affected history and certainly still affects us today because without it, we probably wouldn’t have slowly progressed to modernized art in the same way. Also, it affects us because we wouldn’t be able to admire the artists work if the movement didn’t exist and never caused them to create it in the first place.
