Dismissal Procedure  Busses are called over the Public Address System – typically 10 to 12 busses called in a round.  Students leave the classroom when the busses are called and board their busses in the front of the building.  As the busses are called over the PA system, the bus numbers are also posted on the closed-circuit TV.  The last busses typically leave the building around 4:00 PM.

A Message from the Transportation Department Please talk with your child about bus safety and bus rules -- many students will be taking the bus for the first time Remember – for most veteran bus riders, the ride will be much longer than it was for them in elementary school. ADDITIONAL WAYS TO HELP YOUR CHILD Recognize that changing demands in 5 th grade can reveal some weaknesses in children who were successful in the past. Provide your child the opportunity to practice problem solving skills. Don’t be too quick to solve things for your child. Recognize that they are seeking independence and be supportive. Allow time for your child to feel comfortable in his/her new environment. This may take until early November.
