Presentation transcript:

Gaining More Control Over Your Learning Arrive at class on time. Bring the correct binder/notebook to class with all material from previous classes. Organize binders at least once per week. Recopy illegible notes. Have a pen/pencil and lined paper for each class. Copy all notes, examples, hints, and test outlines (even if you have a fabulous memory!).

Gaining More Control Over Your Learning Know what the required criteria is for completion of assignments and projects (obtain a rubric for that assessment if available). Aim for the highest level of quality possible (level 4). Copy due dates into your agenda. Complete all homework. Budget your time or complete the work as soon as possible. Hand in all assignments by the due date.

Gaining More Control Over Your Learning Study for quizzes and tests regularly. Study before a quiz or test date is announced. Ask for help if needed. Continue to ask for help until the problem is solved. Respect yourself, others, and property. Always remember that people (including ourselves) are not perfect. Remember that what happens is important. How we react to what happens is more important.
