Home Page Claim/Leave Search This on-line search tool provides quick and easy access to detailed claim and/or leave information at the employee level. 4 Claim Incidence Report This report helps employers identify any potential incidence problems by displaying the employer's claim incidence for a selected period of time.
Claim Status Report Same page continuation... This report helps employers by providing claim information for employees who are out of the office for disability or FMLA reasons. The report features one worksheet tab with an integrated listing of all claims as well as a separate tab for each type of product coverage in effect (e.g., STD, LTD, SI-STD, SI-LTD, Life Waiver, and FMLA). This is particularly valuable for employers with multiple products, policies and divisions.
Data Analyzer For larger customers with demanding needs to sort their significantly larger datasets, this powerful, flexible and easy- to-use application is indispensable. With it, the user can quickly select from many measures and filters that can be used to view their data. The results provide key insights that would simply be too difficult to bring to light using standard tools. It also supports a benchmarking feature that provides access to the entire Unum database of disability claims. Create an industry peer group and run queries alongside customer data. If you are familiar with Microsoft Excel's "pivot table" or heard of "data cubes" or OLAP, then you are familiar with the essence of this tool. It is highly recommended that users refer to the Data Analyzer User Guide, located in the upper right-hand corner of the report, for more information... Produce analysis in tables or graphs
Data Extract For large case customers that often need to go beyond the Claim Status Report, this tool allows a user to build simple reports against all of their data in the CR&A database: Claim Specific Data, Employee Specific Data, Policy Holder Data, and Financial Data. Users utilize a wizard, similar to the other CR&A reports, to identify the available fields they would like in their output. Once the user has selected the fields and the policy information, the wizard allows them to limit their results to specific criteria. For example, a user could limit their results to the data for claimants who live in a certain state, work in a certain division and/or have a particular job title. The output from this tool can be opened in Microsoft Excel so that the data can be sorted further or formatted into a standard report.
Disability Compare Report This report helps employers better understand their disability risks and could help guide the implementation of some occupational health and safety programs. It provides managers multiple views of comparative information from Unum's disability database, using common demographic variables to benchmark a company's experience against its industry and the entire Unum claim block. This report can provide several views that compare short- term and long-term disability performance against a number of claim variables (e.g., age, tenure, gender, job type, diagnostic category, Workers' Compensation offsets, Social Security offsets).
Disability Top Ranking Diagnostic Report This report illustrates the top six categories of claims incidence and cost by health condition diagnosis. This information also helps illustrate health and safety conditions that may benefit from special preventative or therapeutic intervention programs.
Lost Time Trends Suited for cases with significant claim volume, this report calculates the average number of employees that are absent due to disability in any given month and it is used by managers to assess the impact of lost time. Companies concerned with the overall impact of lost time on their organizations can quickly identify the 'costs' associated with employee absence. Tracking this metric over time allows users to quickly identify improvement, or deterioration, in the lost time experience of their organization. This information is particularly useful when evaluating the impact of new employee programs.

STD Repeater Drill-Down Report Same page continuation... Using this report, disability managers will be able to identify employees who have a record of multiple STD claims. These employees may require extra attention in order to promote their productivity. The earlier that they receive that attention, the better the risk is managed. In some cases, a significant amount of STD cost is concentrated in a small employee population. By focusing strategies on a small group, an excellent return may result – including medical cost containment. The report provides counts, percentages and a listing of claim repeaters in a given time frame.

The one page snapshot of STD and LTD information (new and closed claims, durations and STD claim decision times) provides a 14 month history so users can measure negative or positive trends for the current month over a period of time.
