Food!! Eating Arrangements Food is prepared on site. Children sit at tables, much as at school. All children will be asked to try all foods. Children are expected to collect their own food and clear up after their meal. Children take it in turns to sweep the floor and wipe down tables *Food is of good quality and there is plenty of it. Breakfast Cereal Toast Porridge Water, milk or orange. Lunch Packed Lunch if on an activity Cooked meal upon arrival and departure Drinks Evening Meal Cooked 2 course evening meal Water/orange juice/milk Supper Toast Bun Drink
Sleeping Pupils sleep in dormitories of 10 (max). They sleep in bunk beds. They are expected to make their own bed on arrival – time to get practising. They are asked to keep this room relatively clean throughout the stay. Lights out – a little later than normal as they are on residential and are hyper! Get up at 7.30am - 45am
Never Been Away From Home? Several practises are essential NOW! Some find this hard. Try a sleepover at your house before a sleepover away from home. It can be distressing for the child if they are asked to sleep away from home without having a trial.
Medical All medicines must be given to school the day before we depart - accompanied by a Administration of Medicine Form – no exceptions. All medical conditions, even if already known by school, must be recorded on the medical information sheet, for Killyleagh. Inhalers – you need two in case one is lost up a mountain. Inform school ASAP of special dietary requirements (this is not a likes and dislikes list but information about allergies to food)
