Introduction  The CHBA is a not-for-profit patient focused agency  Achieve positive patient outcomes through patient advocacy and bill auditing  Patients should focus on healing after their procedures at a healthcare organization (HO)  Reduce patient bill obligations  Proactively audit HO billing and coding practices  Negotiate additional rate reductions through reduced billable turnaround time (TAT)  Increase patient satisfaction  Increase patient throughput  Reduce billable TAT to HO

Big Picture Healthcare Organizations Government Consumer and/or Patient Insurance Companies

Importance  Patient health outcomes are directly tied to the stress a patient feels and experiences after a procedure  The higher the stress on a healing patient the longer the healing process with decreased positive patient outcomes  The CHBA will directly benefit the patient by alleviating significant stress that would otherwise be realized in the healing process in dealing with HO bills, directly contributing to increases positive patient outcomes and decreased healing times.
