Community Hygiene course e-Bug England have worked with a community group in Gloucester to develop a 6 week hygiene course – Beat the Bugs! 6 x 1 hour sessions with all the best of e-Bug Microbes, Spread of infection (hand & respiratory), Oral hygiene, Food hygiene, Antibiotics and Self-care Action planning session

Community Hygiene course The aim of the course is to educate in community settings outside schools Including vulnerable and hard to reach adults Pilot course will run in Feb/March Qualitative evaluation in Feb/March Your Role The course will be available for partners to translate from May Consider if you want to be involved in any evaluation from September

Taking Care of Your Pet A new e-Bug junior lesson plan developed by Pia Touboul and the French e-Bug team Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education in France. Learning outcomes All students will learn that: There are many similarities between human and animal health What we do to keep our pet healthy is similar to what we do for our own health. Your Role This new lesson plan is available for all partners to translate

Guinness World Record Aspiration A new Guinness World Record: number of people undertaking a simultaneous antibiotic lesson Near European Antibiotic Awareness Day in November Rationale A chance to promote National Institute of Clinical Excellence guidance March 2016, suggesting antibiotic education in schools It will raise the profile of e-Bug and increase awareness of appropriate antibiotic use and resistance. The last Guinness record around hand washing generated lots of media interest and increased weblogs

Guinness World Record What we are doing now We are undertaking preliminary research to see if this is possible and are in contact with Guinness to discuss this. Your Role Indicate if your country is interested – Appreciate the complex process and work required to succeed Record verification requires 2 volunteers in each classroom or hall, and video evidence!
