Labour Market Information is information that tells us what careers are growing, shrinking and careers / jobs that are just beginning. Labour Market Information helps us to understand what is happening in the world of work around us and also what opportunities there will be in each career and what opportunities you could take or aim for.

An example…… This is a bit far fetched as an example but it may help you understand. Lets say for example your chosen career is to be a Deep Sea Diver and you live in Birmingham; its going to be a bit difficult seems we are the City that is the furthest away from the Sea in England. So what do you do? You look at places in the UK that you can do this job (where there is a coast / sea). You would look to see where you can train, where they hire people for these jobs, what they pay and where you stand the best chance of getting this job and doing well in it. This is using Labour Market Information!
