The Ring of Fire: Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Volcanoes World Geography

The Ring of Fire Presentation Learning Target: I can explain and describe the impact of internal forces shaping the Earth through the use of maps, charts, and graphs.

The Ring of Fire Presentation Research one of three types of internal forces shaping the Earth: Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Volcanoes (You will be assigned one of the three topics) and Create and Present your work.

The Ring of Fire Presentation *Define and describe your topic (earthquakes, tsunamis, or volcanoes). *Incorporate and provide a citation for a map visually representing the areas where the topic/events can be found. *Create a chart/table detailing information from the last 25 years (cite your sources) *Create a graph to represent the number of events that occurred per year over the lasts 25 years (cite sources) *Create a graph to represent the number of earth-shaping events that occurred per continent involved (those found along the Ring of Fire) *Include an analysis of how the event(s) affects movement and human-environment interaction (from 5 themes of geography) *Present your findings, using the chart/table and graphs to support your overall analysis of the earth-shaping events.
