Basic Information  Sloths only live up to 30 years  Are only active 7 hours a day  There are only 2 types of species of sloths three-toed and two-toed sloths

Something Unique  Sloths warm up in the morning by sunbathing

Family:  Sloths have 2 types of species three-toed and two toed  There ancestors were called ground sloths and were 2 types mylodonts and megalonychids

Habitat  Sloths live in the rainforest canopies central and south America  They live in trees and rarely climb down  They eat very little food due to there slow metabolism but when they due they eat fruits, leaves, bugs, and young twigs.
