Follow the MHA on social media 2017 Nearly half of Michigan’s hospitals are considered small and rural. The FY 2017 executive budget recommendation preserves funding for two significant funding pools essential to the delivery of high-quality care and services to people throughout the state. Small and Rural Hospital Access Pool $34 million in total funding in FY 2017 helps more than 60 Michigan hospitals stay open and serve their communities. OB Stabilization Fund $12 million in total funding in FY 2017 helps preserve labor and delivery services in hospitals throughout rural Michigan.

Follow the MHA on social media Call to Action: Michigan hospitals request our state elected officials to support the governor’s executive budget proposal for Medicaid and hospital-based program funding.

Follow the MHA on social media At the end of the day… Hospital-provided healthcare funding helps pay for a number of essential healthcare services for Michigan residents.

Follow the MHA on social media Thanks to the financial contributions of our hospitals, Michigan residents have access to healthcare services and expanded health insurance options, which all contribute to healthier residents and a healthier state.
