Schoolyard jackstraws

You need:  Wooden sticks or handmade paper sticks, about 80 cm long, 30 pieces. The sticks can be made of paper A3 size. You roll the paper starting diagonally from one corner.

Rules:  The sticks can be colour coded (by paint, ribbon or colour stick tape).  The colour code changes the point value of every stick.  To play you place all sticks in vertical position and let them fall freely into every direction. To score points you have to pick up the stick without moving the other, remaining sticks. If you move the stick the other player takes the turn. Once all the sticks are picked every player counts the points. The winner is the one to get the most points.

One, two, three, Flinston

You need:  Rubber band (at least four meters long).

Rules:  Two players stand apart, in about 1.5m to 2 m distance, facing each other, holding the rubber band crossed. The players say “one, two, three, Flinston” and form kind of the wall (they raise the rubber up and put it down) while the other players’ task is to get through the wall without touching the rubber band. If you touch the rubber band the player holding the rubber band is replaced by him/her.
