High Level Summary of NDP Chapters NDP-All South Africans MUST feel safe, Safety audits, demilitarised police, >comm. Participation, Rural safety plan, Strong Criminal justice system. NDP – upskill and build state capacity, HRD, Make the state an attractive career option and place to work Improving quality of skills and education Recognises impact of high levels of corruption on society, mentions corruption in senior levels in govt, political will reqd to fight this on 2 fronts: 1. Deterrence 2. Prevention 3. CONCLUSION Overall there are synergies between the NDP and the COCT IDP There will of-course be slight gaps due to specific nuances and contextual realities facing the City of Cape Town The City is, we believe, well positioned to deliver on both the IDP and the NDP
