Propagation Model : HybridBuildingPropagationlossModel Itu1411/Itu1238 ( depending on indoor / outdoor/ distance<1000) The path loss models are manually verified and produce correct results The point to mention is that the result of Sinr that determines the MCS/CQI (either using Piro/MIerrorModel) show be same as that is produced by REM plots, where as it differs All the parameters are kept DEFAULT with a clean NS install Only the following changes are made to see clear results -Position Allocation is changed to constant position instead of random -Only kept one Txnode and one UE to avoid the effect of interference -Increase the attribute of REMhelper, -> resolution x/y to grab the exact values at desired coordinates

Case 1: HomeEnb (0,0) – UE (30,0) HomeNode- Tx Power 17dBm EPC: REM Maps: Sinr : dB MCS: 28 Sinr : 12.05dB (10log(16.05))

Case 2: HomeEnb (0,0) – UE (100,0) EPC: REM Maps: Sinr : dB MCS: 24 Sinr : dB (10Log(0.104))

Case 3: Enb (0,0) – UE (500,0) Case 4: Enb (0,0) – UE (2000,0) Manual calculations for another case has been attached as PDF, The case is for 30m user-Txnode distance. The user & HomeEnodeB are in the same appt & same room. The path loss & shadowing is verified (ITU-1238), where as the problem seems to be at the calculation of RXPSD. I can provide further details if required.
