Career Education Society A major goal of the K-12 education system, career development offers students the opportunity to learn from a young age what options and opportunities are available to them through: Awareness Exploration Engagement

Career Education Society Developing Awareness, Exploration and Engagement Activities 1.Using your knowledge of your school and community, write down as many opportunities and activities you can think that provide/support: Awareness Exploration Engagement 2.Use “Post It” notes to record your activities and use one note per activity. 3.Place each Post It note on the appropriate chart for each activity

Career Education Society Review your Collection of Activities 1.Once all the ideas have been posted, as a group, review the suggestions to make sure fit in under the appropriate category 2.Have staff members decide which category they wish to work towards developing and expanding the activity 3.Assign a “Team Leader” to each category 4.Decide as a group, a timeline to report back to the entire staff
