Statutory Requirements (1/3) 1.Reporting (74 O.S. §110.3.) Vehicle Monthly Meter and Cost - Leasing agencies monthly reporting - Owning agencies monthly reporting Acquisition and Sale Inventory 2.Utilization Minimum 12,000 miles per year / 1,000 miles per month (74 O.S. §78. C. 8.) 3.Vehicle Marking Conspicuous lettering stating (47 O.S. §151) “State of Oklahoma” the name of the department or institution; unit # highly recommended Confidential vehicles, exemptions (74 O.S. §78. D.5.) On an agency letterhead to Fleet Manager Employee name and Unit # Reason clearly stated and relate to employee job mission 12

Statutory Requirements (2/3) 4.Work from Home; Driving Vehicle Home Agency Authorization for Commuting in State Vehicle, (022) 47 O.S. §156.1 Only essential employees approved by Governor (and others) in the performance of their official duties Employee who regularly receives after hours emergency calls (75 miles limit round trip, and authorization to be reviewed every 60 days) Listed law enforcement and some other agencies agency 2007 OK AG 18 Employee's assigned place of employment is his/her residence and use of a state vehicle is necessary in the performance of the employee's official duty. 13

Statutory Requirements (3/3) 5.Insurance Liability [See 51 O.S. § 154(A)] provided by agency standard liability coverage through Risk Management: Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) for any claim or to any claimant who has more than one claim for loss of property arising out of a single act, accident, or occurrence; Except as otherwise provided in this paragraph,... to any claimant for a claim for any other loss arising out of a single act, accident, or occurrence. The limit of liability for the state... shall not exceed one Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($175,000).... One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) for any number of claims arising out of a single occurrence or accident. Applicability On duty either in state of personal vehicle Covers state employees only (business visitors covered by their own workers comp) Vehicle Physical Damage (optionally through Risk Management): deductible $2,500 for vehicles up to $50,000; $5,000 over $50,000 Note: Does not apply to personal vehicles use on state business 14
