Mardi Gra New Orleans A. Scrogin

Where? New orleans, Louisiana Tuesday, Feb 9th Held on Bourbon Street

What Mardi Gra brings This year's Mardi Gras celebration resulted in a direct economic impact of $145.7 million and an indirect impact of $322 million in the city of New Orleans, a study commissioned by a group of Carnival krewe captains and released Thursday found. The study was commissioned to establish two things: the overall economic impact of the 12-day parading period and the impact of Mardi Gras on the city budget. The economic impact of Mardi Gras has been historically difficult to gauge because there are no tickets for admission and the celebration extends throughout nearly the entire city. Until recent years, officials have weighed trash left behind in the French Quarter following Fat Tuesday. The greater the tonnage of refuse littering the streets, the more successful a Carnival the city is believed to have had.

Cost There is no cost of admission or parking. You would pay to eat at a restaurant and for your drinks The total cost would depend on how many people are with you, where, and how long you stay for the event.
