An Ogier Business Hub Event July 2014

My worker wants to be a contractor. That’s OK because I don’t have to worry about PAYE I delete any annual leave that hasn’t been taken that year I pay sick leave in advance. I can deduct it from their termination pay I don’t really worry about keeping leave records. Our sick leave doesn’t roll over to the next year. We’ve decided not to do KiwiSaver. I pay 3% less than the minimum wage because I contribute 3% to their KiwiSaver. My employee didn’t cash up any leave last year so I let him cash up two weeks this year. I only employ casuals so I can pay their annual leave as they go. My employee wasn’t sick, they were injured. Do I have to pay sick leave??
