Learning Objective: (Over 2 lessons) To be able to construct a 3 dimensional object using the Oblique drawing technique. To be able to create a rendered, life-like object using tone. Success = Two to Three Oblique drawings with some tone.

Homework by next Tuesday Log onto CLZ – Design and Technology > Year 10 Resistant Materials > and open the file ‘Oblique’. Complete at least one of these drawings on your Oblique drawing page and add tone to all your drawings.

Adding tone 2/drawtec2a.htm

Starter 1.What is the name of the 3D drawing technique we used last lesson? 2.What is the angle of the diagonal that comes off each corner? 3.Why must you draw in light pencil first? 4.What is the name of the tool that is a plastic triangle? 5.Write out instructions for how to create the 3D drawing technique (x3 bullet points)?

Oblique Drawing 1.Draw the front face of an object 2d 2.Extend the lines from each corner at 45 degrees 3.Create parallel lines by ROLLING THE RULER Drawing Equipment Set Square set at 45 degrees and 90 degrees Drawing board Sharp HB pencil

Title – Isometric Drawing (30 degrees – Even Measure)

Learning Objective: (Over 2 lessons) To be able to construct a 3 dimensional object using the Isometric drawing technique. Success = Two to Three Isometric drawings with some tone.

Isometric Drawing 1.Draw the ‘Crow’s Foot’ (30 degree angle) 2.Extend the lines at 30 degrees on either face. 3.Create the remaining faces using…. “PARALLEL LINES” (roll the ruler!) Drawing Equipment Set Square set at 30 degrees and 90 degrees Drawing board Sharp HB pencil
