Whole class ideas ● Review of a skill already taught(i.e. phonics, Math) ● Your time limit will determine how many students participate ● There are several free apps out there to use that will engage the students ● Introducing a new skill (i.e. whiteboard apps ) ● Explaining a worksheet/showing power points etc. (Dropbox) ● Geography lesson(Google Earth) ● Creating Podcasts/videos

Small group ideas ● Several of these can be carried over to whole group as well ● Presentations on chapter read (i.e. Educreations) ● Completing worksheet or other writing assignment (i.e. Skitch or Doodlebudy) ● The students love the creating apps(Easy Bake etc.). Turn their creation into a writing assignment ● Centers or Connected Practice for younger grades(have rubric or something for them to complete after they finish app)

Apps Skitch Several options of where to start Allows you to capture from the web After students write or complete assignment, there is an option to save into your camera roll or to it to yourself(wonderful way to document what students did). Free app, uses Evernote account

Apps Educreations Similar to what white boards do Allows for recording of what they do along with voice Students could create a presentation on a certain chapter or concept and then share with class(common core link) Free app, only requires setting up an account

Apps Doodlebuddy Take a screen shot from a worksheet in Dropbox Upload into Doodlebuddy and students can complete Once students complete the worksheet or activity, take another screen shot to save work Free app, no account required

Apps Dropbox Online storage Allows you to access worksheets, power points etc. from Ipad Once installed, syncs with computer, so camera uploads are downloaded on computer Free app(2GB storage); account required

Apps Dry Erase Board app Free app Option of saving work to photos

Apps Timer + app Free app Just one of many free apps, most let you customize up to five minutes

Apps AR app Free app Works if you have the updated Accelerated Reader(online) The ID it asks for upon log in is located on the bottom right hand corner of Renaissance home screen Students could take AR test on the Ipad in essence giving you another computer
