19 STi Network Overview Remote Link Remote OBD Link is installed once in the vehicle. It continuously communicates with the vehicle's OBD system and temporarily stores this information for transmission to Remote OBD Access Points. Remote OBD Link is installed once in the vehicle. It continuously communicates with the vehicle's OBD system and temporarily stores this information for transmission to Remote OBD Access Points. Access Points with Hot-Spots Stationary and Mobile Remote OBD Access Points with Hot-Spots covering highly frequented traffic locations, collect information from the vehicle's Remote OBD Link. The Remote OBD Access Points transfer the data to the Remote OBD VID System.
