Be Sure to STOP & Join PTO This Year!! Looking for New Members The PTO is Looking for New Members & welcome back previous members who want to be more involved in their school! What is the PTO? What is the PTO? The Parent Teacher Organization of Sauquoit Valley School is an active organization whose main purpose is to promote a better relationship between parents, teachers, and students. The PTO represents children in grades K-12, that implements programs and support activities that will benefit the students. What are Volunteers needed for? What are Volunteers needed for? We sponsor many programs: Sauquoit Valley Fine Arts and Craft Show, the Science Fair, Mother-Son Fun Night, a Father/Daughter Dance, 2 Annual Barnes & Noble Fundraisers, Santa Breakfast, Night of Imagination Dance, field trips, along with honor breakfasts. PTO involvement requires only a few hours of volunteer time, as well as interest in what is happening in our school. Voice Your Opinion Voice Your Opinion! Make a difference in your child's life and get involved. PTO meetings are always open to the public. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month in the elementary school library. Please feel free to contact us for more information and remember- your attendance is always welcome at any meeting or function. Contact the PTO by ing: 1 st Meeting: Thursday 9/4/14 at 6:30 PM in the - Elementary Library

As a parent/guardian of a student in our district, you are an automatic member of the PTO! We welcome you and encourage you to get involved and become an active member. To do this, all you need is interest in what is happening in our school and a little volunteer time! And…we made it easy! Welcome to Three for Me ! Three for Me is the new Parent Volunteer Program that benefits students in the Elementary, Middle and High School! First and foremost, Three for Me is a promise. A promise to our children and their school, that you are making a pledge to volunteer three hours of your time throughout the school year. That’s only THREE hours for the ENTIRE school year! Now, of course, if you have the ability to volunteer more than three hours, we welcome you. But this program is asking ALL parents and caregivers to get involved by giving only THREE hours. Did you know that parents have a significant effect on their children's education? It's true! Good education isn't just about teachers and schools – parental involvement really counts! All research indicates that children who have families actively involved in their school will get higher grades, are more likely to graduate and go on to college and will earn more money once they begin their career ! Please…take a look at the Volunteer Opportunities List and sign up to volunteer three hours of your time this school year. Make this simple promise to your child and our PTO, and show how much you care. This program can only be successful when all parents are involved. Whether you are able to volunteer three hours for the year or three hours each day, your help is greatly appreciated and does NOT go unnoticed. PTO meetings are always open to the public and are held on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Elementary School library. We understand how busy you are and it is not mandatory to attend every meeting. But with active membership, you will meet other parents, get to spend time with your child and have a lot of fun doing it! Make a difference in your child's life and get involved.
