Phil. 4:6,7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving (having gratitude in your heart), let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Gratitude… comes from a grateful heart. Gratitude = means being “appreciative” or thankful of the benefits received everyday. It means being thankful for God, good people, relationships and good happenings. Research studies have been done with people on Gratitude and found amazing results.

Children need to have a heart of thankfulness to parents, teachers, older adults. Teenagers need to remember to be indebted to parents for all they receive.

Gratitude will open the Heavens! How to get started in Radical Gratitude: Write down 5 things daily on paper or computer or phone that you are grateful for and thank the Lord for them. 5/6/10 rule. Remember the good… more than the bad. Learn scriptures/prayers of Gratitude. Listen to your language, and change to language of gratitude. The motion may need to start… before the emotion. Fix your attitude with gratitude which will prepare you for communion.

Decide today to get your attitude over into gratitude! The Holy Spirit will help you to do that. To whom do you need to express gratefulness to today? When will you do that? Challenge: Can you be thankful and write down 5 things each day until Thanksgiving? For 17 days. Watch what happens!
