Presentation transcript:

All of the multicellular organisms need oxygen for their cells to get energy they need. They have many tiny tubes that run through their body. Oxygen leaves the lungs and enters the blood. When you hold your breath carbon dioxide builds up in your blood. Your brain sends a message to the diaphragm and rib muscles telling them to breath.

Many parts of your respiratory system are coated with muscus.Muscus is the sticky thick fluid that traps dust, germs and other things that maybe in the air.A trachea is a tube that carries from the larynx to the lungs. The trachea it leads to branches called bronchi that go into the lungs. In the lungs, these branch into smaller and smaller tubes called the bronchioles. Asthma is a disease in which these tubes may become narrow. Air Sacks are where oxygen enters the blood and carbon dioxide leaves the blood.

Larynx is a vocal cords are two structures stretching voice result of your breath making the vocal cords vibrate. When muscles stretch the vocal cords tighter, your voice gets a higher patch.

Cilia cilia are the tiny, hairlike structures on cells in the linings in many parts of the respiratory system such as the trachea. Cilia help clean air by waving very rapidly. This waving pushes dirty mucus out of the lungs to the throat that’s where it swallowed.

Incase you get sick here are the list of some diseases of the RESPIARTORY SYSTEM. Name cold influenza pneumonia tuberculosis lung cancer. Causes are virus, virus, bacteria, or virus, bacteria, tobacco, chemicals. For cold it is a runny nose stuffy nose sneezing Influenza is where you get a cough shore throat stuffy nose fever. Pneumonia is where you get the cough chest pain shortness of breath fever Tuberculosis is where you get the cough fever wheezing. Lung cancer is where you get the lung cells grow incorrectly and very quickly. RESPIARTORY SYSTEM

FROM YOUR AIR SACKS OXYGEN CAN PASSES INTO YOUR BLOOD OFCAPILLARIES.AT THE SAME TIME CARBON DIOXIDE GOSE FROM THE BLOOD INTO THE AIR SCACKS.AFTER THESE GASSES SWITCH PLACES THE AIR MOVES OUT OF YUR LUNGS.

ALL OF YUR AIR SACS HAVE A VERY THIN WALLS. AROUND THE WALL OF EACH AIR SAC IS A WEB OF CAPILLARIES. RESPIARTORY SYSTEM

YOUR ARTERIES THAT GO FROM THE HEART INTO THE LUNG BRANCH INTO SMALLER AND SMALLER BLOOD VESSELS ARE CAPILLARITES AAROUND THE AIR SACS.
