There are literally hundreds of resources on the Internet for parents. It can be very confusing for anyone looking for support or information Some sources are more reliable than others

 NICHCY  WRIGHTSLAW  IDEA

 NICHCY is the national information and referral center that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals. NICHCY's web site features its excellent fact sheets, resource guides and other publications about specific disabilities and disability-related issues. 

 This website gives out important information for those who are happened to have a disability and for parents of disabled children. 

 Wrightslaw provides information related to specific sections in IDEA 2004, the Federal Regulations, and offers additional resources for more information on special education topics. 

 This website is the U.S. Department of Education: Office of Special Education Programs. It discusses the following information: Alignment with the No Child Left Behind Act, Discipline, Early Intervention Services, Highly qualified teachers, identification of Specific Learning Disabilities, Individualized Education Program (IEP) just to name a few. 
