TYPES OF BUSINESS  Agro processing of fruits  Mainly processes passion fruits which is bought from small scale farmers.  Mango fruits outsourced during their season.  Business level = small scale processing of fruit pulps

Volume and value  Out sourced fresh passion fruits ; 23 tones per week hence 80 tones per month.  23 tones give average 7 tones of pulps (Passion fruits) Monthly pulp volumes = 28 tones  Gross value is approx Ksh. 1.5 m per week hence Ksh 5m a month  Mango volumes during the season 120 tones Ksh13 per Kg. this give small holders over Ksh. 1.5 m a week.

Main customers  Buyers are both local and regional (EA)  80% industrial buyers  18.5 % institutional  Others 1.5%

Employment creation  Self employment  14 permanent employees  15 casuals on average  Per month over 14 employees earns salary and 15 average has 6 days per week hence over 24 days benefiting through the enterprise

Financial challenges  Running capital to pay smallholder farmers who want to be paid upfront  Asset financing (purchasing and hiring especially enough trucks)  Premises too congested but no funds to expand  No upfront payments by the buyers

My target if there were capital!  Build a factory and godown with a fully automated lines  Meet my customer demand instead of splitting the orders given.  Get more employees  Get more equipments for increased and improved pulp production.
