Their study of Monsanto's 90-day feeding trials clearly underlines adverse impacts on kidneys and liver, the dietary detoxifying organs, as well as damage to the heart, adrenal glands, spleen and haematopoietic system” (2010 Organic Consumer).

Professor Andres Carrasco’s research found that very small amounts of glyphosate causes damage to frog embryos, and is a possible reason for human birth defects in farming communities. Glyphosate is applied by Monsanto in the process of making the GM soybean.

The seeds are treated with thiram, a chemical the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency determined gave mice cancer growths. Agricultural workers must wear special protective clothing in handling the seeds. EPA banned home gardeners from using thiram coated toxic seeds.
