Body Paragraph One of the most challenging parts of autism is socialization. Temple Grandin’s exposure to animals fortunately helped her to not feel alone. When Temple was teased in high school for being autistic, she hit her bullies and was punished by her teachers (My Story). Temple Grandin writes, “teachers took away horseback riding privileges if I smacked somebody” (My Story). This shows that Temple learned how to be kind to others and “cry” instead of beating up others. Therefore, Animals helped her to get along with others.
