ANOTACE: Prezentace je určena pro žáky 4. a 5. tříd ZŠ i 2. stupně k opakování a procvičení předložek spojených s určením místa. V první části prezentace se mohou žáci 1.stupně podívat na video a názorně si zopakovat jednotlivé předložky a pak podle obrázků přiřazují správné předložky. Další část prezentace je vhodná pro starší děti. Zahrnuje přehled předložek a jejich praktické využití. Poslední část prezentace zahrnuje několik cvičení na procvičení učiva. Nakonec se žáci mohou podívat na video týkající se umístění věcí a směrů.

The prepositions at, on, and in:  We use at to show a specific place or position. For example: Someone is at the door. They are waiting at the bus stop. I used to live at 51 Portland Street.  We use on to show position on a horizontal or vertical surface. For example: The cat sat on the mat. The satellite dish is on the roof.  We also use on to show position on streets, roads, etc. For example: I used to live on Portland Street.  We use in to show that something is enclosed or surrounded. For example: The dog is in the garden. She is in a taxi. Put it in the box.  We also use in to show position within land-areas (towns, counties, states, countries, and continents). For example: I used to live in Nottingham. We live in the Czech Republic.

ON 1. We use on with small islands: 2. We say that a place is on the coast / on a river / on a road: She spent her holiday on a small island. London is on the River Thames. Portsmouth is on the south coast of England. IN 1.We say in when we talk about a building itself: The rooms in Tom's house are small. 2. We usually say in with towns and villages: His parents live in York. 2) TO - INTO - BY TO - we say go / come / travel / fly / walk / return / drive / have been etc. to a place or event: Last year we flew to London.
