Cosmetology! Lindsay Granger

Definition.. –the work of beauty therapists, including hairdressing, facials, manicures, etc.

Abilities.. –Being a Cosmetic you can… –Style hair. –Design nails. (hands and feet) –Design make up for the person.

Tasks.. When you’re a Cosmetologist you could work in a big mall or a small store with many people or as many as four or five. I would design hair, make up, and nails. Wash people’s hair or color it. Also some people throw in different options they want to do in their shops.

Education needed.. One needs a high school diploma and four years in college. One should research designs in high school so you will get on the right field.

Problems.. –A problem a cosmetic may have is if you were cutting someone’s hair and you accidently cut of too much hair or don’t do the right style the person wanted. –Also, you have to do different steps for different textures and types of hair so the person will be 100% satisfied with what you’ve created.

Recommended classes needed.. Design classes Algebra 1 and 2, geometry and chemistry Sewing

What do you do at work? At work one would design, color, cut, wash his or her hair. A person could have the same schedule to do some days and others the days could change up.

Money! The average amount of money a cosmetic earns a year is 100,00 dollars.
