Drug Demand Reduction (DDR) This is your brain on drugs:

Drug Demand Reduction (DDR) Why DDR in CAP? CAP, according to by-laws, will assist the USAF in non-combat programs and missions We, the CAP, assist in defending our homeland. Drugs are a threat to our homeland: They kill our youth; lead to gangs and violence; and drug money pays to train terrorists, which are now fighting against our soldiers and planning to attack us again on our soil.

Drug Demand Reduction (DDR) Youth in the US, on an average day in 2006…….. 7,970 drank alcohol for the first time 4,348 used an illicit drug for the first time 4,082 smoked cigarettes for the first time 3,577 used marijuana for the first time 2,517 used pain relievers non-medically for the first time. Youth who used alcohol in the past month drank an average of 4.7 drinks per day on the days they drank and those who smoked cigarettes in the past month smoked an average of 4.6 cigarettes per day on the days they smoked. Source: The OAS Report: A Day in the Life of American Adolescents: Substance Use Facts

Drug Demand Reduction (DDR) Here are some disturbing statistics: According to the FBI it takes $4,000 to train and outfit one (1) terrorist (this include rifles and bombs) 1oz of Cocaine has a street value of $800 - $1,000 1oz of Heroine is $4,200 The Bottom Line? Every potential drug user that is redirected to a positive life style keeps money from terrorists SOURCE: Drug enforcement Administration, Birmingham, AL
