Our day / term of Water We have focussed on Water based activities on a Water Day, as well as during the term

Finding out about floating and sinking

Will this plasticine boat float?

What about this one?

Testing our theories

Water themed play area

Younger pupils made fish to hang in the role play area

They used “sea” colours

And made pictures on the computer too

We created a word wall of water words

Older children found out about the Titanic, and how it sank

They wrote about it, from the view point of a passenger or crew member

They also created Titanic models

They used a variety of materials

Some chose to paint the sinking

They made a classroom display for parents to come and see
