Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands -WICHE 150% of the schools resident tuition Affordable access to programs that may not be available in their home state or that do not have sufficient capacity; diverse array of institutions in which to enroll. Some participating institutions have opened their entire curriculum to WUE on a first come, first serve basis. Some only offer designated programs at the WUE rate. Currently, 150 public institutions participate in WUE; not all public institutions in every WICHE state participate in the program Apply for admission directly to the WUE institution(s) of your choice. There is no general WUE application.
The Common Application covers several areas: personal data, educational data, standardized test information, family information, academic honors, extracurricular activities, work experience, a personal essay, and criminal history. Letter of Recommendation Form (In counseling office) Give teachers and counselors 10 school days at minimum to create a letter Make an appointment w/ counselor Requesting through Naviance (make sure to let your counselor/teacher know) Helps schools decide why they should take you outside of what they can see on your transcript/application.
It is used to indicate to the University or College that the candidate considers that institution to be his or her top choice Candidates applying early decision typically submit their applications by the end of October of their senior year and receive a decision in mid-December Constitutes a binding commitment to enroll; the candidate must withdraw all other applications to other institutions and enroll at that institution Early Decision Early action is NOT binding, so a student admitted to a school early action could choose not to enroll in that school. Require applicants to file only one application, while, depending on the institution, early action programs may allow candidates to apply to more than one early action institution. Early Action
Rolling admission candidates are invited to submit their applications to the university anytime within a large window. The window is usually over six months long, and some schools do not have a previously specified end date (the window simply closes when all spots are filled). The university will then review the application and notify the applicant of their decision within a few weeks from submission. All Three In-State Universities have Rolling admissions (but also have priority deadlines)
Regular Decision This is the most common option for out of state colleges and universities. All students must submit their applications by a specific date, usually between November and January. The admissions board then reviews all the applications and send out acceptance and rejection letters on the same date.
Open Admission Typically, community colleges and some technical/trade schools programs offer this type of enrollment. Open admission means that nearly all high school graduates are admitted, provided they have a diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
